**2008 14 Yr Old All Star Team**


 


In the 14 year old division, Matt Beatty fired a one hit shutout with 8 strikeouts as the All Stars defeated Falmouth 15-0. Sean Conway, Billy Peterson and Pete Cady led the offensive attack. Tyler Horton also drove in two runs.  Jordan Frazier and Peterson scored three runs each. In game 2, Gateway soundly defeated Bourne 17-7. Jordan Frazier with 5 RBI's led the offensive attack. Ian Searles, Chuck Rohrbach, Max Sherman, Pete Cady, Sean Conway and Adam Serousi had multiple hit games. Steve Harrison made three terrific catches in the outfield gaps. Sherman, Conway and Searles combined for the win.

 

Plymouth 24 Gateway 3
Nuff said. Plymouth hammered 24 hits in a barrage over Gateway. Gateway did collect nine hits in the game.
 
Gateway 6 Lower Cape 1
Max Sherman was masterful in 6and 2/3 innings of solid pitching allowing only one run on five hits. Matt Beatty came in for the final out. Chuck Rohrbach, Sean Conway, Billy Peterson, Pete Cady and Ian Searles led the offensive attack.
 
Gateway 13 Plymouth 6
Austin Packard and Chuck Rohrbach combined for the win taming the powerful Plymouth offense. Rohrbach, Ian Saerles, Sean Conway, Max Sherman, Matt Beatty, Jordan Frazier and Pete Cady led the offense. Sherman, Frazier and Tyler Horton combined to turn two 4-6-3 double plays.
 
Plymouth 9 Gateway 7
Matt Beatty was solid in his 5 and 1/3 innings of pitching but the Plymouth offense collected five runs and five hits to come from behind in the bottom of the sixth to keep Gateway from winning the district title. Billy Peterson, Sean Conway, Steve Harrison, Max Sherman, Pete Cady, Ian Searles, Chuck Rohrbach, Beatty, and Tyler Horton all collected hits for Gateway. Adam Seroussi made a huge throw from left field to the plate to cut down the go ahead run for Gateway. Gateway played three exceptional games defensively committing only three errors one in each game and many players made several key defensive plays.
